The easiest place to eat kosher by the Tel Aviv beach is the Tel Aviv Port (Namal), where Furman’s, Lechem Basar, Piano Piano, Oshi Oshi and Café Café all hold kosher certificates and sit on the boardwalk above the sea. On the central promenade, SIMO is a new kosher meat restaurant facing the beach, and the big seafront hotels (Hilton, Sheraton, Royal Beach) run kosher restaurants. Most kosher places close from Friday afternoon until Saturday night.

Kosher status changes when a restaurant changes owners, chefs or supervisors. Every listing below was checked against a kosher directory or the restaurant’s own signage in October 2026, but always look for the current certificate (teudat kashrut) on the wall before you order. If it is not displayed, ask to see it.

Kosher hotel restaurants on the seafront

The big beachfront hotels keep their restaurants kosher, and they are open to outside guests. They are the safest choice on Shabbat, when most independent kosher places are closed; book ahead.

Kosher at the Jaffa Port

BlackOut, on the Second Aliya Pier at the Jaffa Port, is the kosher option at the south end of the promenade (Rabbanut).

Not kosher, but on the beach pages

Some of the best-known beach restaurants are not kosher, including La Mer, Mike’s Place, Shake Shack and White Pergola at the port, and McDonald’s at Bograshov. See the full list of beach bars and restaurants.

Shabbat and kosher food by the beach

Most kosher restaurants close on Friday afternoon and reopen after Shabbat on Saturday night. Hotel restaurants serve Shabbat meals to guests and, with a booking, to outside diners. The Tayelet promenade is inside the Tel Aviv eruv but the sand is not; see the beach on Shabbat and synagogues near the beach.
