Tel Baruch Beach: Everything You Need to Know
By Solomon Wiesen, TLV Beaches. Last reviewed October 2026.
Tel Baruch is Tel Aviv’s northernmost beach, next to the old Sde Dov airfield: clean, quiet, with wide lawns, lifeguards in season, a kiosk, a playground and a big car park. It is about 3 km (a 40-minute walk) north of the Tel Aviv Port (Namal) and the Tayelet promenade, so do not expect the port’s cafés on your doorstep. Come for space and calm, and for the dog area just to the south; skip it if you want a scene.

Tel Baruch Beach Insider Tips to Know:
1. Family Friendly Beach
Tel Baruch Beach is a bit further north from Tel Aviv’s busy central beaches, so it is more peaceful and mostly used by locals and families. Clean sand, calm water, and ample parking make it an easy day out without the crowds.
2. Perfect for Long Walks and Cycling
The wide stretch of clean sand makes for a good long walk, and you can get here by bike along the coast. South of the bathing area the city has zoned the water for water sports and kite surfing, and there is an off-leash dog zone on the shore, so expect to share the view with kites and dogs.
3. Extensive Parking Options
The large Ahuzot HaHof car park on Yitzhak Artzi Street is right behind the beach. A single entry costs NIS 36 and is valid for 24 hours, and the first 15 minutes are free. See our beach parking guide for the other lots along the coast.
4. Lifeguarded Swimming Areas
Tel Baruch is a declared bathing beach with a lifeguard station and a marked swimming area. The lifeguards work during the bathing season only. The marked area and clear signage make it a good beach for swimmers, especially beginners or those with kids.
5. Picnic and Sports-Friendly Beach
The beach has wide open spaces that are perfect for family picnics, along with a beach volleyball court. There is shade on the sand and a kiosk for snacks, making it a great spot for a full day of fun and relaxation.
