The Ben Gurion statue is located along Tel Aviv’s beachfront promenade, specifically near Gordon Beach. It is a statue of David Ben-Gurion, Israel’s first Prime Minister, depicted doing a handstand—a quirky and famous image of him.

 

This playful statue stands as a tribute to Ben-Gurion’s love for exercise and his well-known practice of handstands even in his later years. The statue is close to the intersection of Ben-Gurion Boulevard and HaYarkon Street, just a short walk from the beach.

The Ben Guryon statue on the beach should not be confused with the Ben Guryon house which is located a few blocks north and inland:
