By Solomon Wiesen, TLV Beaches.

Every official Tel Aviv beach has open-air rinse showers near the sand, and most have foot-rinse taps at the exits. What varies is how many there are, whether they all work, and how crowded they get at closing time. The table is updated as facilities change along the coast. The municipality’s official beaches page lists all 13 declared beaches with their facilities and lifeguard seasons; lifeguards have returned to the stands at the end of April in a typical year.

What to expect from Tel Aviv beach showers

  • They are open-air cold water rinse showers for sand and salt, not changing-room showers; there is no soap and soaping up is not done.
  • They are free.
  • Queues form in the hour before lifeguard stations close in season, when everyone rinses at once; mid-afternoon is the quiet window.
  • Accessible-height showers are at the beaches with accessible paths; see our accessible beaches guide.
